First, a note on card images
PocketRune does not host, store, or serve trading-card images. Card art is hot-linked directly from the community-maintained pokemontcg.io API and is served from their servers, not ours. Takedown requests about card artwork should be directed to that host. PocketRune stores only card metadata (names, set codes, numbers) plus your private binders and any art you upload yourself.
Our policy
PocketRune respects the intellectual-property rights of others and complies with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. If you are a copyright owner (or authorized to act on behalf of one) and you believe that content stored on PocketRune infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice using the process below. We will respond promptly to properly formed notices.
Designated agent
Send DMCA notices and counter-notifications to our designated agent:
DMCA Agent, PocketRune
Email: dmca@pocketrune.com
Note: PocketRune is a solo, independent project. Formal registration of our designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office is being completed alongside business formation; the monitored dmca@pocketrune.com inbox above is the current point of contact and is checked regularly.
How to file a takedown notice
To be effective under § 512(c)(3), your written notice must include substantially all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with enough detail (e.g. a URL) for us to locate it.
- Your contact information — name, address, telephone number, and email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
Incomplete notices may delay our response. Please do not send notices about third-party card artwork that we hot-link rather than host (see the note above).
What we do with a valid notice
Upon receiving a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and make a good-faith effort to notify the affected user. Because PocketRune is a private, single-user tool with no public sharing, most user content is visible only to its owner.
Counter-notification
If you believe your material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification under § 512(g) to dmca@pocketrune.com that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the U.S., any judicial district in which PocketRune may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the party who filed the original notice.
We may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action seeking to restrain the activity.
Repeat-infringer policy
In appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, PocketRune will disable and/or terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers.
