What PocketRune is
PocketRune is a tool for planning and tracking Pokémon TCG binders. You lay out 9-pocket pages, place cards, track which ones you own and which you still need, design Michi-method art pages, and export print-ready PDFs. That's the whole job — and we try to do it well.
Private by default
PocketRune is not a social network. There are no public profiles, no shared binder galleries, no discovery feed — your binders are yours, visible only to you. Collectors have good reasons to keep a valuable collection private, and a focused private tool is simply nicer to use than a feed. If you want to show off a page, screenshot it and post it wherever you like; that's your call, not a feature we push.
The Michi method
We support the “Michi method” — a community technique, popularized by collector @michimaybe_, of slicing one image across the nine pockets of a binder page so the art frames your cards. It's a community method, not ours; we just make it easy to plan and print. See the Michi method page for how it works.
Card data & intellectual property
Card images and data are referenced from the community-maintained pokemontcg.io API — PocketRune does not host or redistribute card art. We are an independent, fan-made tool, not produced by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Game Freak, Creatures Inc., or Wizards of the Coast. See our IP disclaimer and DMCA policy for the details.
Who builds it
PocketRune is built and maintained by a small, collector-run team under the pen name “Rune.” It's an independent project — free to use, supported by optional affiliate links and tips — not venture-funded and not for sale of your data. We never sell collection data and never run intrusive ads on the tool itself.
